Welcome to FootballQuiz1V1 (hereinafter referred to as "the Application", "the App", "we", "us", or "our"), developed and operated by our dedicated development team. We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting the personal information and gameplay data of all our players in accordance with the Google Play Developer Distribution Agreement, Google Play User Data Policies, and international privacy regulations (such as GDPR and COPPA).

This Privacy Policy governs your use of the mobile application FootballQuiz1V1 (Application ID: com.fbqm.footballquiz1v1) and explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is secured, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide, personalize, and continually improve the gaming experience for all users:

A. Information You Provide to Us Directly

  • Display Name & Unique Username: When you set up your profile, you choose a public Display Name and an optional unique handle (e.g., @username) so your friends can identify and challenge you.
  • Profile Avatar / Picture: If you choose to upload a custom profile picture, the image is selected from your device's photo library and uploaded to our secure database to display on your player profile card.
  • Authentication Credentials: If you choose to sign up or sign in using email or social authentication, your email address is processed securely through our authentication provider (Supabase Auth). If you play as a Guest, a random anonymous identifier is created locally.
  • User Biography / Motto: Optional text you provide in your profile settings.

B. Information Collected Automatically

  • Gameplay Statistics: Match scores, answers submitted, win/loss records, Experience Points (XP), League Ratings/Trophies, and in-game Coin balances.
  • Matchmaking & Room Data: Temporary 4-digit room codes generated when hosting private multiplayer matches with friends.
  • Device & Network Information: Basic device type, operating system version, and general network connectivity status required to maintain real-time WebSocket synchronization during live 1v1 matches.

2. Android App Permissions Disclosed

In strict adherence to Google Play policies, below is the transparent disclosure of every permission requested by the Application and the exact operational reason for its usage:

Google Advertising ID com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID Handled automatically by the official Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to serve contextual or personalized video ads, enforce frequency capping, and detect fraudulent ad activity.

3. Third-Party Services & SDK Integrations

We partner with industry-leading, privacy-compliant service providers to operate our cloud infrastructure and deliver in-app advertisements:

A. Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK)

Our application integrates the official Google Mobile Ads SDK to offer players optional Rewarded Video Ads in the Coin Shop, allowing users to earn free in-game coins. Google AdMob may collect and process device identifiers, advertising ID, IP address, and interaction data according to Google's Privacy Policy.

B. Supabase (Database & Realtime Authentication)

We utilize Supabase (built on PostgreSQL) for secure cloud database storage, real-time multiplayer WebSocket state channels, and user authentication. All communications between the Application and Supabase servers are encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS/HTTPS protocols.

4. Data Retention & Account Deletion Policy (Google Play Mandate)

In full compliance with Google Play's User Data & Account Deletion Policy, we empower every user with the complete right to delete their account and wipe all associated personal data from our servers.

In accordance with Google Play's User Data & Account Deletion Policy, users can permanently delete their account and wipe all associated personal data from our servers by submitting an email request to our support desk:

  1. Send an Email to Support:
    Send an email from your registered email address to hello@footballquiz1v1.nayeemahmed.com.
  2. Email Subject & Details:
    Include the subject line: Account Deletion Request and mention your registered email address or player username (e.g. @username).
  3. Verification & Purge:
    Our support team will verify ownership and process your account deletion request within 24 to 48 hours. A confirmation email will be sent back once complete.

What Data is Deleted: When your account is deleted, all records associated with your account are permanently and irreversibly purged from our database. This includes your authentication credentials, display name, username, profile avatar image, friend connections, match history, Experience Points (XP), in-game Coins, and trophies. No residual personal data is retained.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

FootballQuiz1V1 is a general-audience football trivia game designed for football enthusiasts of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child under 13 has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us immediately at hello@footballquiz1v1.nayeemahmed.com so we can delete such records promptly.

6. Security of Your Information

We implement rigorous security safeguards, including:

  • Encryption in Transit: All API requests, matchmaking queues, and authentication flows utilize HTTPS/TLS encryption.
  • Row Level Security (RLS): Our database employs granular Row Level Security policies, ensuring that users can only modify their own profile data.
  • No Plaintext Passwords: All credentials are cryptographically salted and hashed by Supabase Auth; we never have access to your raw passwords.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect modifications in our features, service providers, or regulatory guidelines. We will notify players of any material changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this document and publishing the revised version at this URL.
